Our China factory has incorporated as the name Tian-Yu
Communication Technology (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. (Abr. Tian Yu) which was established in
Aug. 1999, solely owned by FORMOSA at Kunshan Economic and Technology
Development Zone, East Park Jiangsu province, China.
The total investment is up to USD5.6 million.
Tian-Yu occupies an area of 80 acres with 578,000 square feet building and has over 300+ employees and good
R&D conditions. Tian-Yu
is engaged in manufacturing notebook battery packs, cellular phone battery packs
and chargers and peripheral products which are popular in over 40+ countries and
regions all over the world. We have
also worked with numerous OEM
customers. Tian-Yu has
gained ISO9001, cUL, CSA, CE, FCC, TUV/GS, E-Mark certifications.

In
1992, we first developed a portable hands-free communication systems.
In
1995, developed a micro-computerized control Ni-CD and Ni-MH battery analyzer.
All
products were UL, CSA, TUV/GS and CE certified.
During
1994-1998, introduced and integrated mechanical design computer-assisted
software of Pro/E, AutoCAD, standardized tooling production and reverse
engineering and rapid
prototyping (use Multi-Jet
Modeling technology).
A
reverse and concurrent engineering
technology has been introduced for rapid introduction of product with dimensions
and quality identical to the original manufacturer.
In
1997, developed Li-Ion protection circuit and recognized by Japanese cell
suppliers.
Each
year, developed over one hundred sets of molds of battery packs, charger cases,
metallic terminals and PC Board molds, which are the foundation of Formosa product
competitive advantages.

We
continue to search for the causes of defects and to prevent any reoccurrence, as
well as to accumulate valuable experience to ensure the highest quality
possible.
Two sets of programmable temperature and humidity chambers.
618 units of CAC 16V 800mA battery analyzer throughout the factory to
refresh battery by 3 and half cycles of charging & discharging function, and
analyze battery capacity.

Perform the tests of protection
circuit module, smart gauge,
learning and final auto function in the production line and to ensure the quality
of smart battery pack.
A monthly production capacity of over 300,000+ various battery packs has
originated from our ISO 9002 certified manufacturing facilities.
Japanese precision spot welder enables the spot welding pressure and time
of current to be controlled in optimal condition and to ensure the quality of all
battery packs.
Automatic spot welding operation (automatic spot gluing, spot welding and
test), increases production efficiency.
Whole factory anti-static flooring, and anti-static strip to avoid any
damage to the protection circuit IC.
A computer system analysis that equalizes all single cells capacity for
various battery packs, and eliminates conditions of surge voltage in multiple
series-connected batteries. Automatic testing of the internal resistance provides
equalization to the internal resistance in a single cell, and eliminates the
condition of surge impedance in multiple parallel-connected batteries.
The facility is equipped with a tooling and injection molding work group
with primary equipment and teamwork to meet cost reduction, timing and quality
control.

Injection molding machines are a part of the major facilities at the
factories in I-Lan (Taiwan) and Tian-Yu (China).
All tooling is designed and tested in our Taipei factory site, and moved to our spacious
I-Lan factory and Tian-Yu factory to carry out injection molding operations.
